Today, while working on PRS layouts (95% done with those!) I noticed something awful. My best friend is dying. I don't know how long I've got to say my goodbyes, but I need to start planning for the future.

I need a new tablet. 

Oh? What's that? You thought I was talking about something else? Hah. No. Sorry. My precious tablet had it's first spazz today while I was working. I fear the cable connecting my tablet to my computer is finally giving in. This tablet has served me for nearly seven years and I could not be more devastated. I hate change. Yes, my drawing tablet is an antique and is nothing fancy- but it's what I've worked with since I began to draw digitally. It won't be easy to adjust to a new tablet.

So, I want to ask if anyone has any suggestions on what kind of tablet to get. While mine is not dead yet, I plan on getting a new one soon so that if mine dies, I won't be stranded without a means to draw/work for 2-3 weeks. I've got no set budget right now. I've been saving for a new tablet (or a Switch, hah) for a while now since I knew this day might come. My parents have also offered a hand with some of the costs.

So, what tablets do you use? What's it like? Would you recommend it to others? Or, what tablets would you like to have? Good reviews? Help me with ideas!

On another note, assuming my tablet doesn't completely die in the next month or so, I've got a set date for PRS to resume updates.

I've been working on scripting and layouts for the last couple of weeks. I'll be posting the cover page in the next week or two as an early bonus.

Layouts: 95%
Pencils: 0%
Inks: 0%
Colors: 0%
Still a long way to go, but I should have some buffer ready by the time spring break starts next month! I'll be streaming both the cover process and maybe a movie (my color theory professor from last semester keeps telling me I -NEED- to see this one movie just for the lighting and effects. She thought it was a boring movie though.) Maybe a request stream this weekend. It's been a crazy week with all projects due in a 4 day period- so I've got a lull in work for the weekend.
